dr Michał Krawczak
Michał Krawczak is an assistant professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland, where he defended his PhD. He is a co-founder of Humanities/Art/Technology Research Center AMU. He is an author and editor of books and articles on media critique, including Aesthetics of Radical Truth. Collaborative Media Prctices Against Violence (with A. Jelewska, forthcoming 2025), Nuclear Gaia. Media Archives of Planetary Harm (with A. Jelewska, forthcoming 2025, Intellect Books), Postcollectivity. Situated Knowledge and Practice (co-edited with A. Jelewska, J. Reid, 2024 Brill), Post-technological Experiences. Art-Science-Culture (as editor, 2019 AMU Press). He was giving lectures and workshops i. a. at Folkwang Universität der Künste, DE (2015), Harvard University, Cambridge (2015), Emerson College, Boston (2015). In 2015 he was also on research stay in Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich, Switzerland. Author, designer and curator of art and science projects, such as Transnature is Here (2013), Post-Apocalypsis (2015), Anaesthesia (2016), Post_Human Data (2019), Solastalgia (2021). He was awarded Golden Medal for sound design for collective interactive installation Post-Apocalypsis (2015) at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, Czech Republic.
